Ingredients

  • Paneer ( Indian cottage cheese) - 150 g
  • Corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • Maidal ( all purpose flour ) - 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Rice flour - 1 tbsp
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli pwd - 1 tsp
  • Coriander pwd - 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Yoghurt - 2 tbsp
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Salt to taste

To make sauce:

  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Sliced onions - 1/4 cup
  • Sliced green chilli - 1/2 tsp
  • Sliced spring onions - 2 tbsp
  • Yoghurt - 1 tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp
  • Corn flour - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Wash and slice paneer to fine cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add corn flour, maida flour, rice flour, baking soda, ginger garlic paste, garam masala pwd, red chilli pwd, coriander pwd, salt, cumin pwd, 1 tsp oil and yoghurt.
  3. Add little water and mix to smooth paste.
  4. Add the paneer cubes and coat with masala completely.
  5. Let it marinate for 15 mins.
  6. Its time to coat the marinated paneer cubes in bread crumbs.
  7. Arrange the coated paneer in plate.
  8. Heat oil in frypan.
  9. Drop the paneer cubes carefully in hot oil in batches as shown in video.
  10. Deep fry in medium flame until the paneer turns crispy & golden.
  11. Drain in kitchen tissue.
  12. Yummilicious crispy paneer 65 is ready.

To prepare sauce for paneer 65:

  1. Heat oil in fry pan.
  2. Add finely sliced onions and green chilli.
  3. Toss good.
  4. Add sliced spring onions and saute.
  5. Add salt, red chilli pwd, yoghurt, tomato ketchup and saute.
  6. Make a paste of 1 tbsp corn flour and 1/4 cup of water.
  7. Add this corn flour paste to pan and saute.
  8. Add the fried paneer and give a quick stir in high flame.
  9. Turn off flame.
  10. Garnish with sliced spring onions.
  11. Delicious restaurant style paneer 65 is ready.
