Periyandavar Temple – Thirunilai Village:

Print Friendly and PDF

A Visit to our Native Temple:

Recently, we went to our  kuladeivam  ( family deity )  Sri  Periyandavar  Temple..!

I really love the way that religions can bring tradition and family values together. We used to make a visit to this temple atleast once a year to have Darshan & blessings of  Lord  Periyandavar  &  Goddess  Angala  Parameshwari.

It was a nice experience and I clicked few shots in my hubbys mobile.

This is a simple and small temple, located near Thirukazhukundram in Chengelput taluk, Kanchipuram district. It is built beautifully by the side of the village lake. The temple is more than 300 yrs old & the renovation work was done recently.

The presiding deity is  Lord  Periyandavar,  in  Suyambu  Lingam.  And  Goddess  Angala Parameshwari  is also blessing along with  Periyandavar.

You can get more views of Lord Periyandavar temple in the below links..
Wishing a lovely day to all..!

  18. Another "periyandavar temple" is located at undarpatti village of dindigul district. Correct route for this temple is first arrive dindigul bus stand from anywhere. Then arrive thadikombu village, which is at a distance of below 10 kilometres from dindigul bus stand. You can arrive thadikombu by taking city bus at dindigul bus stand. Then you can reach periyandavar temple at undarpatti (3 kilometers from thadikombu) by catching share auto or regular auto, which takes about 10 minutes to get temple.
This periyandavar temple is kulatheivam for the devotees living in dindigul, nedunkulam, kochadai, ayyampalayam, nandhikovil patti, undarpatti, karur, a.subramaniapuram, thailakulam, srivilliputhur, krishnankovil, kumbakonam, chennai, etc.
