Today's recipe is golden milk or turmeric milk or herbal milk. It's also known as haldi dhoodh, having loads of health benefits. Its especially a perfect drink for winter season as it fights cold, flu, cough and sore throat. This homemade herbal milk is a great way to stay healthy with all the goodness of turmeric, pepper and cinnamon spices.

Preparation Time - 5 Minutes

Cooking Time - 5 Minutes

Yield - 3 servings

Ingredients

Whole milk - 2 cups

Turmeric pwd - 1/2 tsp

Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp

Cinnamon pwd - 1/4 tsp

Sukku (dry ginger) pwd - 1/4 tsp

Cardamom pwd - 1/4 tsp

Sugar (optional) - 1 tsp

Honey - 1 tbsp

Coconut oil - 1 tbsp

Instructions

1.

Add whole milk to pan.

2.

Heat until it boils.

3.

Add turmeric pwd, pepper pwd, cinnamon pwd, sukku (dry ginger) pwd, cardamom pwd and stir.

4.

Add coconut oil, sugar(optional) and honey.

5.

Allow to boil for few minutes.

6.

Turn off flame.

7.

Delicious and healthy turmeric milk is ready.

8.

Serve hot.

Its an excellent remedy for cold, flu, cough and sore throat.
