Here comes the South Indian style healthy pudina chutney or mint chutney / green chutney recipe. It tastes heavenly delicious with spicy condiment flavor from fresh mint, coriander, curry leaves. It makes an ideal pair with idli, dosa, vada, masala vada, pongal, kichdi or any other delicious Indian breakfast. Try & enjoy this easy recipe at home and let me know how it turned out!

Preparation Time - 5 Minutes

Cooking Time - 4 Minutes

Yield - 4 servings

Ingredients

Mint leaves - a bunch

Coriander leaves - handful

Curry leaves - a few

Oil - 1 tbsp

Urad dal - 2 tbsp

Tamarind - a small piece

Red chilli - 3 to 4

Ginger - a small piece

Salt to taste

Instructions

1.

Clean and wash mint leaves,coriander leaves and curry leaves.

2.

Drain water completely.

3.

Set it aside.

4.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in frypan.

5.

Add urad dal and saute to golden.

6.

Add red chilli, tamarind, ginger and salt.

7.

Fry for a minute.

8.

Add mint leaves, coriander leaves and curry leaves.

9.

Saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

10.

Turn off flame.

11.

Add grated coconut and toss.

12.

Allow to cool.

13.

Transfer the contents to blender.

14.

Add little water and grind to smooth paste.

15.

Lipsmacking healthy delicious pudina chutney is ready.

It makes a best combo along with soft idli, crispy dosa, etc.
