Paneer tikka masala is a famous dish from Punjabi cuisine. This spicy gravy is very popular in all Indian restaurants. It tastes super delicious with roti, paratha, naan, kulcha or even with biryani, fried rice. Trust me, its quite easy to prepare this creamy addictive paneer tikka masala can be prepared at home very easily just like we taste in restaurants. The recipe consists of 2 parts. First to make grilled paneer tikka and second step is to prepare the lovely vibrant gravy in which the juicy paneer chunks are soaked in. Try this heavenly masala recipe today at your home!

Ingredients

To Make Paneer Tikka:

Paneer - 200 g

Yoghurt - 3 tbsp

Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp

Red chilly pwd - 1/2 tsp

Besan flour - 1 tbsp

Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp

Ajwain - 1/2 tsp

Chat masala pwd - 1/4 tsp

Garam masala pwd - 1/2 tsp

Coriander pwd - 1 tsp

Pepper pwd - 1/4 tsp

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

Tandoori masala pwd - 1/2 tsp

Oil - 1 tbsp

Lemon juice - few drops

To Make Masala

Oil - 2 tbsp

Cinnamon - 1

Cloves - 4

Bay leaf - 1

Onion - 1

Tomato - 2 to 3

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp

Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp

Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp

Red chilli pwd - 1 tsp

Coriander pwd - 1 tsp

Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp

Chat masala pwd - 1/2 tsp

Corn flour - 1 tbsp

Fresh cream - 50 ml

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander leaves

Instructions

1.

Wash and slice paneer to bite sized cubes.

2.

In a mixing bowl, add yoghurt, turmeric pwd, red chilly pwd, besan flour, cumin pwd, ajwain, chat masala pwd, garam masala pwd, coriander pwd, pepper pwd, ginger garlic paste, salt, tandoori masala pwd, oil and lemon juice.

Mix it to smooth paste.

Add paneer cubes and coat well with masala.

5.

Add sliced capsicum, onion and tomato.

6.

Mix and allow to marinate for minimum 1 hour.

7.

Soak bamboo skewers in water for 20 mins to avoid getting burnt.

Now insert marinated paneer, onion, tomato and capsicum alternatively in skewers.

9.

Grease some masala & oil over it.

10.

Place the skewers in grill and keep in oven.

Grill for 8 to 10 mins or until charred as shown in video.

Healthy delicious grilled paneer tikka is ready.

Keep it aside.

To Make Tikka Masala:

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in frypan

Add bay leaf, cinnamon and cloves.

Allow to splutter.

Make a paste out of 1 onion and add the onion paste to the pan.

Fry until paste turns light brown.

20.

Add ginger garlic paste and saute.

21.

Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.

22.

Add turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, coriander pwd, cumin pwd and chat masala pwd.

Combine the masala.

Cover and cook for 2 mins.

Add tomato ketchup and mix.

26.

Make a thin paste out of 1 tbsp of corn flour and 1/4 cup of water.

Add the corn flour paste to the masala and stir.

28.

Add fresh cream and give a quick stir.

29.

Add the grilled paneer and toss in high flame.

30.

Turn off flame.

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

32.

Delicious restaurant style paneer tikka masala is ready.

Serve hot with roti, naan, paratha or even with rice dishes.
