Today I am here with one of the quickest & easiest recipe to make mawa or khoya at home. The traditional recipe to prepare khoya is time consuming & tedious process. But this instant homemade mawa recipe can be made within 5 mins. Most of our Indian sweets calls for mawa and its not easily available at stores. Don't panic! This homemade mawa comes handy while preparing festival delights like peda, burfi, ghujiya, kalakand, ladoos, halwa etc. Check out this simple video recipe to prepare instant mawa. Enjoy!

  • Milk powder - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 3 tbsp


  1. Add milk to pan and boil.
  2. Add milk pwd and stir.
  3. Keep stirring in low flame until it forms a thick smooth paste texture as shown in video.
  4. Add ghee and give a quick stir.
  5. Once it forms thick mass, turn off flame.
  6. Allow to cool.
  7. Transfer it into a bowl.
  8. Homemade instant mawa is ready.
  9. Enjoy preparing any sweets or desserts with this flavorful homemade mawa recipe.
  10. Its optional to add sugar to make it sweetened khoya recipe.
