Palak paneer is a mildly spiced up delicious healthy curry in which soft chunks of paneer is simmered in creamy spinach gravy. This delicious restaurant style recipe is very easy to prepare and it makes a nutritious dish along with roti, chapati, naan, paratha, etc. Not only the vibrant green colour of the dish is very appealing, also it tastes absolutely yummy. Ingredients

Paneer - 200 g

Palak / spinach - 1 bunch

Oil - 2 tbsp

Green chilli - 2 or 3

Cumin - 1/2 tsp

Onion - 1

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp

Coriander pwd - 1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Instructions

1.

Wash & slice paneer to fine cubes.

2.

Heat few tsps of oil in frypan.

3.

Add the paneer cubes and shallow fry until light brown.

4.

Turn off flame and remove the paneer cubes.

5.

Set it aside.

6.

Clean, wash and slice the palak (keerai)

7.

Heat 2 cups of water in frypan.

8.

Once it starts boiling, add the chopped palak.

9.

Allow to cook for 2 minutes.

10.

Turn off flame and drain water from the palak.

11.

Add cold water to palak to stop the cooking process as shown in video.

12.

Add the cooked palak to blender.

13.

Add green chilli and 1/4 cup of water and blend to smooth paste.

14.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in frypan.

15.

Add cumin seeds and wait to splutter.

16.

Add sliced onions and salt.

17.

Saute until light brown.

18.

Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.

19.

Add turmeric pwd, cumin pwd, coriander pwd and toss.

20.

Add 1/2 cup of water and allow to cook.

21.

Add the ground palak paste and stir.

22.

Cook for few minutes in medium flame.

23.

Add the golden roasted paneer in palak masala.

24.

Combine well and add fresh cream.

25.

Cook for 2 minutes.

26.

Turn off flame.

27.

Creamy rich palak paneer is ready.

28.

Transfer to serving bowl.

29.

It combines excellent with roti, chapati, paratha, naan, etc.
