Ingredients

To Marinate:

Chicken - 1/2 kg

Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp

Red chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp

coriander pwd - 1/2 tsp

Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp

Mint & coriander leaves

Fresh lemon juice - few drops

Salt to taste

To Make Pepper Chicken:

Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

Bay leaf - 1

Cinnamon - 1

Cloves - 4

Cardamom - 1

Onion - 2

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp

Tomato - 2

Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp

Red chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp

Pepper pwd - 1 tsp

Coriander pwd - 1 tsp

Saunf pwd - 1/2 tsp

Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp

Garam masala pwd - 1/2 tsp

Mint & coriander leaves

Curry leaves

Fresh lemon juice - few drops

Salt to taste

Instructions

1.

Clean and wash chicken.

2.

Drain water completely.

3.

Marinate with turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, salt, coriander pwd, pepper pwd, mint & coriander leaves and lemon juice.

Mix completely.

5.

Let the chicken marinate for 30 mins.

6.

Heat oil in fry pan.

7.

Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and wait to crackle.

8.

Add sliced onions and salt.

9.

Fry until transculent.

10.

Add curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.

11.

Add sliced tomatoes and saute.

12.

Add turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, coriander pwd, saunf pwd and cumin pwd.

Combine the masala.

14.

Add marinated chicken and toss well in the masala.

15.

Cover and cook in low flame for 5 mins.

16.

Stir well.

17.

Add 1/4 cup of water and cook for another 10 mins or until the chicken is cooked soft and tender.

18.

Once the masala thickens, add pepper pwd and garam masala pwd.

19.

Squeeze few drops of lemon juice and stir.

20.

Turn off flame.

21.

Garnish with freshly chopped mint and coriander leaves.

Flavorful, hot and delicious restaurant style pepper chicken is ready.
