Here comes the delicious Indo-chinese spicy sauce recipe that can be prepared at home. This exotic hot and flavorful sauce plays a vital role and comes in handy whenever we prepare schezwan fried rice or noodles at home. It has a unique distinctive flavor and can be used to enhance the flavors on soups and as an excellent dips for snacks & spreads on sandwiches. It makes an absolute treat for spice lovers! Ingredients

Red chilli - 20 to 25

Grated ginger - 1 tbsp

Grated garlic - 1 tbsp

Oil - 3 to 4 tbsp

Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp

Soya sauce - 1 tbsp

Sugar - 1 tsp (optional)

Vinegar - 1 tbsp

Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp

Salt 1/2 tsp

Instructions

1.

Soak red chillies in warm water for 20 minutes.

Drain water and set the red chillies aside.

3.

Grate ginger and ginger to fine pieces.

4.

In a blender add the soaked red chillies, add 1/4 cup of water and grind to smooth paste.

5.

Heat oil in frypan.

6.

Add grated ginger and garlic and saute until light brown.

7.

Add the red chilli paste and saute in low flame for 10 mins.

8.

Add pepper pwd, salt, soya sauce, sugar, vinegar and tomato ketchup.

9.

Mix well.

10.

Add 1/4 cup of water and cook for another 5 mins in low flame.

You can see oil separates out from the sauce.

Turn off flame.

Allow to cool.

14.

Homemade fiery hot schezwan sauce is ready.

15.

Transfer to air tight container.

16.

It stays good for 3 to 4 weeks when stored in refrigerator.

This schezwan sauce comes handy to prepare schezwan fried rice, noodles or even as an excellent flavorful dip for snacks.
