Hy Friends, here I am sharing with you a most favorite chaat Pani Puri recipe. We all love this yummy street food that tastes spicy and sweet, right? Making these at home is absolutely easy. Check out this quick & easy recipe and enjoy the hot and tangy Pani puri - just the way.. you like it..!

Ingredients

To make Puris / Gol gappe:

Maida / all purpose flour- 3 tbsp

Sooji / rava / semolina - 1 cup

Baking pwd - a pinch

Salt to taste

To make Stuffing:

Potatoes boiled & mashed-1 cup

Roasted cumin pwd - ½ tsp

Chat masala pwd - ¼ tsp

Amchur pwd - ¼ tsp

Salt -as required

Sliced tomatoes - 1 tbsp

Sprouted moongdal - 2 tbsp

Lemon juice - ½ tsp

Freshly chopped coriander leaves

Oil to deep fry

Instructions

To Make Puris

In a mixing bowl, add maida flour, rava/sooji/semolina, baking pwd, salt and mix

Sprinkle water little by little and knead it to soft dough

Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 mins

Meanwhile lets prepare the mint and tamarind chutney

Lets prepare the stuffing next

Wash and cook potatoes till soft

Peel and mash it

In a pan heat a tsp of oil

Add roasted cumin pwd, chat masala pwd, amchur pwd, salt and saute

Add the mashed potatoes, sliced tomatoes and sprouted moongdal

Mix well

Simmer the flame and allow the mixture cook for 5 mins

Turn off flame

Sprinkle freshly chopped coriander leaves

Lipsmacking stuffing is ready

To Fry Puris:

Now knead the dough again for a minute

Pinch out a lemon sized ball and roll it to big round discs

With a small cup or lid press down to get small equal sized circles

Heat oil in a frypan

Drop the circles in the hot oil carefully

Take care not to overcrowd the oil

The puris should puff up and turn golden and crisp on both sides

Drain them out and place in kitchen paper to remove excess oil

To make Pani Puris:

Poke a small hole in the centre of the puris

Add a tsp of potato stuffing inside

Add a little of sweet tamarind chutney and green chutney

Gulp it down immediately else the puris turn soggy
