How to make Garlic Paratha / Indian Garlic Bread / Step-by-step Recipe:
I love parathas with or without any vegetable
side dish too. Paratha is a North India speciality. There are so many different
types of Parathas you can make. They are either stuffed or plain.
Today, I’m here with the recipe of Garlic
Paratha. It is very easy to prepare and makes a delicious way to begin the day.
It is prepared with fresh and crushed garlic along with other flavorful spices.
Try this divine recipe at your home and I am
sure this healthy food brings a big smile on your face..:)
Ingredients:

Whole wheat
flour - 2 cups
·
Garlic -
5 to 6
·
Oil -
2 to 3 tbsp
·
Ghee -
1 tbsp
·
Rice flour - 1 ½
tsp
·
Cumin pwd -
½ tsp
·
Pepper pwd -
¼ tsp
·
Red chilly pwd - ¼ tsp
·
Chat masala pwd - ¼ tsp
·
Amchur pwd -
¼ tsp
·
Salt to taste
Method:
1.
Take wheat flour in a mixing bowl.
2.
Add salt and sprinkle little water and knead
well.
3.
Add 1 tbsp of oil and make soft dough and
allow to rest for 10 to 15 mins.
4.
In a small bowl, add ghee, rice four and
salt.
5.
Add cumin pwd, pepper pwd, red chilly pwd, chat masala pwd
and amchur pwd.
6.
Make a smooth paste of it.
7.
Add finely sliced garlic pieces ( also you
can make garlic paste in blender and add to the paste)
8.
Mix very well.
9.
Now make small balls out of the dough.
10.
Take a small ball, pat it flat.
11.
Dust it with flour and roll it to thin
layered disc.
12.
Add the garlic paste and spread well.
13.
Now fold the roti ( as we fold for laccha paratha ) as shown in the pic below.
14.
Dust with some more flour and again roll it
to paratha shape.
15.
Heat a
fry pan.
16.
Add the paratha to hot tawa.
17.
Drizzle oil or butter to the edges and cook
until both sides are cooked.
18.
Enjoy the wonderful aroma of garlic with
other spices.
19.
Yummy garlic parathas are ready..!
20.
Serve hot with pickle and plain yoghurt...:)
