Well, I prepared Maladu, one of the delicious sweet for this special occasion. This is a healthy and tasty sweet , which is very easy to prepare . It came absolutely tempting and yummy. Happy making and eating…:)

Ingredients

Fried gram / Roasted gram / pottukadalai - 1 cup

Sugar - 1 ½ cup

Ghee - ¾ cup

Cashew - 10

Raisins - 10

Cardamom pwd - ½ tsp

Instructions

1.

Semi roast fried gram in a dry pan.

2.

Allow to cool and grind to fine pwd

3.

Grind sugar separately to pwd.

4.

Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a frying pan.

5.

Roast cashew and raisins to golden.

6.

Add powdered fried gram and sugar, cardamom pwd in the frying pan.

7.

Keep the flame low and stir continuously.

8.

Melt the remaining ghee in another pan.

9.

Once the sugar pwd combines, and rich aroma comes out, turn off the flame.

10.

Add warm ghee slowly, and combine well.

11.

Add ghee to the dough, till, you get the right consistency to make small ladoo balls.

12.

Apply oil in palms and make small ladoos off the above dough.

13.

Take care the ladoo does not break or stick to hands.

14.

The secret remains in the addition of warm ghee and mixing up
