Tandoori chicken is a world popular Indian recipe. It is famous for its rich aroma, flavor and hot color. The best feature of Tandoori chicken is it is very easy to prepare and tastes delicious. The tender chicken is marinated in yoghurd, lemon juice, spices and then grilled in oven. The only thing is we have to plan ahead as the chicken needs to be marinated at least 7 hrs or overnight.

Here is the easy, delicious and quick recipe for Tandoori Chicken.:)

Ingredients

Chicken - ½ kg

Red chilly pwd - 1 tbsp

Fresh Lemon juice - 1 tbsp

Ginger garlic paste - ½ tbsp

Garam masala pwd - ½ tbsp

Green chilli paste - 1 tsp

Yoghurd - ½ cup

Oil - 2 tbsp

Coriander leaves - handful

Lemon wedges - 4 to 5

Salt to taste

Instructions

1.

Clean the chicken.

2.

Make slits in the flesh of thi chicken pieces.

3.

Rub it with a mixture of red chilli pwd, lemon juice and salt.

4.

Marinate it for 30 to 40 mins.

In a small bowl, add ginger garlic paste, garam masala pwd, green chilli paste and yogurd.

6.

Mix well and apply this mixture over the chicken.

7.

Toss it so that the chicken flesh is coated all through completely.

8.

Marinate again for 6 to 8 hrs.

9.

Brush the chicken with oil.

10.

Put it in a grill and cook for about 15 mins.

11.

Take it out, roll over to other side, smear the chicken with little oil.

12.

Again roast it until fully cooked.

13.

Serve hot with fresh coriander leaves, onion rings and lemon wedges garnishing.
