Gosumalli:  (Cabbage Moongdal Treat)    

Gosumalli is an healthy n tasty recipe, with fresh cabbage, that can be taken anytime as side or main dishes. It makes the best, most easy summer recipes. Many of us are not aware of nutritional facts about cabbage. This inexpensive leafy vegetable has high nutrient content and numerous medicinal properties. It helps in digestion and increases our antibodies. It is also a good source of dietary fibre and vitamin C and K.
You will be surprised, how tasty this simple dish turns out…
Give it a try..!


·         Chopped cabbage                    - 1 cup
·         Moong dal                                - ¼ cup
·         Green chilly                               - 1 or 2
·         Fresh lemon juice                      - 3 tbsp
·         Salt to taste
·         Fresh coriander leaves


1.     Wash and soak moongdal in water for 1 hr.
2.     Chop cabbage to fine pieces.
3.     Take water in a bowl and allow to boil.
4.     Add cabbage to hot water and take it out in a minute.
5.     Drain water from it.
6.     Take a wide bowl, add cabbage, soaked moong dal, chopped green chilly, salt and fresh lemon juice.

7.     Mix well and serve with coriander sprinklings.
