BUTTER CHICKEN / RESTAURANT STYLE BUTTER CHICKEN RECIPE - VIDEO RECIPE

Butter Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chicken pieces - 1/2 kg

To marinate

  • Curd / Yoghurt - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli pwd - 1 tsp
  • Coriander pwd - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

To make gravy

  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli - 1 or 2
  • Onions sliced - 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes sliced - 1 & 1/2 cups
  • Cashewnuts - 10
  • Sliced mint & coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh cream - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Clean and wash the chicken.
  2. Drain water thoroughly.
  3. Take the chicken in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add curd, turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, coriander pwd, salt, garam masala pwd to the mixing bowl.
  5. Mix well and coat the chicken thoroughly with the masala.
  6. Let it marinate for minimum 30 mins.
  7. Melt butter in frypan.
  8. Add the marinated chicken and roast in low flame for 10 mins.
  9. Flip the chicken and roast it for another 10 mins in low medium flame.
  10. Now you can see the chicken is 3/4 th cooked.
  11. Drain & set aside.
  12. Heat oil in fry pan.
  13. Add cumin seeds and wait to splutter.
  14. Add green chilli, sliced onions, salt and toss until light brown.
  15. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  16. Add sliced tomato and cook until soft.
  17. Add cashew nuts and saute.
  18. Add sliced mint and coriander leaves.
  19. Toss good and turn off flame.
  20. Add to blender and grind to smooth paste without adding water.
  21. Melt butter in frypan.
  22. Add the masala paste from blender.
  23. Add turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, coriander pwd, garam masala pwd and mix.
  24. Add 1 cup of water and stir.
  25. Allow to boil.
  26. Now add the butter roasted chicken pieces and stir.
  27. Cook covered until the chicken is cooked tender and done.
  28. Add fresh cream and stir.
  29. Add a tsp of butter and turn off flame.
  30. Sprinkle dried fenugreek leaves and finely chopped fresh coriander leaves.
  31. Transfer to serving bowl.
  32. Flavorful butterly delicious butter chicken is ready.
  33. Garnish with fresh cream and serve hot.
  34. It makes a perfect side dish along with roti, chapati, naan, paratha & also with fried rice, noodles, biryani etc.

Ingredients

  • Garlic pods - 8 to 10
  • Red chilli - 5 to 6
  • Sliced onions - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Tamarind - a small piece
  • Hing / asafoetida pwd - a generous pinch
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

To Temper:

  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Split urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves

Method

  1. Clean and peel garlic pods and keep ready.
  2. In a cup of water, add the red chillies and allow to soak.
  3. In a frypan, heat oil.
  4. Add cumin seeds, wait to splutter.
  5. Add garlic and saute till light brown.
  6. Add sliced onions and saute for a minute.
  7. Add salt and soaked red chillies.
  8. Saute for few minutes.
  9. Add tamarind and toss.
  10. Add hing and grated coconut.
  11. Toss for few minutes and turn off flame.
  12. Allow the ingredients to cool.
  13. Add to blender, add 1/2 cup of water and blend to smooth paste.
  14. Transfer to serving bowl.
  15. In a small pan, add 1 tsp of oil.
  16. Temper with mustard, cumin, split urad dal and curry leaves.
  17. Allow to splutter and turn off flame.
  18. Pour it over the garlic chutney and mix.
  19. Flavorful, healthy delicious garlic chutney is ready.
  20. The inviting aroma of the garlic makes the chutney more tempting.
  21. It makes an excellent combo along with breakfast menus like idli, dosa, kichdi or even as a dip for snacks.

Ingredients

  • Onion - 2 big
  • Besan flour - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli pwd - 1 tsp
  • Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Soda pwd - a pinch
  • Hing / asafoetida pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

Method

  1. Clean, peel off the skin of onion.
  2. Slice it to thin round pieces as shown in video.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add besan flour, rice flour, turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, cumin pwd, soda pwd, ginger garlic paste, hing, salt and mix.
  4. Add enough water and mix it to smooth paste.
  5. The batter consistency should not be watery or too thin. It should be in flowing thick consistency. (refer above video) The consistency of the batter is very important to get perfect crispy bajji.
  6. Heat oil in frypan.
  7. Dip the onion slice in batter and drop it in hot oil.
  8. Keep the flame in medium and deep fry until both the sides of bajji are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Do not overcrowd the oil while frying bajjis. Try to drop 4 to 5 at a time. Approximately it will take some 4 mins to get the onions cooked inside the bajji in low medium flame.
  10. Drain the crispy bajji in tissue paper.
  11. Delicious homemade hot and crispy Onion bajjis are ready.
  12. Serve immediately with any chutney of your choice along with piping hot cup of coffee or tea.

CORIANDER CHUTNEY - KOTHAMALLI CHUTNEY RECIPE - EASY VIDEO RECIPE

Today's post is one of the classic & famous chutney recipe of South India. This coriander chutney has a vibrant green color and tastes flavorful & delicious with inviting aroma of coriander leaves. It makes a perfect side dish for any breakfast dishes like Idli, dosa, appam, kichdi or snacks. My mom is expert in preparing this chutney and i just love its divine taste. We know coriander leaves is rich in nutrients, vitamins, minerals and loaded with health benefits. Prepare quick coriander leaves chutney at home with this simple video recipe and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli - 1 or 2
  • Grated ginger - 1 tsp
  • Tamarind - small piece
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste

To temper:

  • OIl - 1 tsp
  • Mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Split urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Hing / asafoetida pwd - a pinch
  • Curry leaves - a few

Method

  1. Wash and slice fresh coriander to fine pieces.
  2. Heat oil in frypan.
  3. Add urad dal and roast in medium flame to golden.
  4. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add cumin seeds and wait to splutter.
  6. Add grated ginger and green chilli.
  7. Stir for a minute. 
  8. Now add sliced coriander leaves and saute.
  9. Add tamarind, salt and saute for few minutes.
  10. Turn off flame and allow to cool.
  11. Grate coconut and add to blender.
  12. Add roasted urad dal (step 4) and grind to coarse mixture.
  13. Now add the sauted coriander leaves (step 10) and blend to smooth paste.
  14. Add 1/2 cup of water and blend to ensure smooth consistency of the chutney.
  15. Flavorful delicious Coriander chutney is ready.

To temper:

  • Heat a tsp of oil in small fry pan.
  • Add mustard, cumin, split urad dal, curry leaves and hing.
  • Wait to splutter.
  • Pour it over coriander chutney.

To serve

  1. It makes an excellent combo with idli, dosa, parotta, appam, etc. 
  2. Also it can be used as a spread in sandwiches and as a delicious dip for pakoras, fritters etc.

Ingredients

  • Badam / almonds - 150 g
  • Cashew - 100 g
  • Pistachios - 100 g
  • Walnuts - 50 g
  • Turmeric pwd - 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom pwd - 2 tbsp
  • Saffron strands - 1 tbsp
  • Sugar - 100 g

Method

  1. Heat a pan.
  2. Add all the nuts one by one and dry roast in low flame, until it turns light brown.
  3. Turn off flame and allow to cool.
  4. In a blender, add sugar, turmeric pwd, cardamom pwd and saffron strands.
  5. Blend well to smooth powder.
  6. Add the roasted nuts and blend to coarse mixture.
  7. Homemade Kesar badam milk powder is ready.
  8. Transfer to air tight container.
  9. It remains fresh and flavorful for 3 to 4 weeks.

To make Kesar badam milk:

  1. Add 2 tbsp of kesar badam milk powder to chilled or warm milk.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Healthy & delicious homemade Badam milk is ready.
  4. It makes a yummy drink for kids, when they're back from school and the attractive colour of the badam milk makes it more inviting for the kids.

RAGI KOOZH - SUMMER SPECIAL / FINGER MILLET PORRIDGE RECIPE - VIDEO RECIPE

Ragi Koozh is one of the perfect cooling & healthy drink of summer season. This nutritious one pot meal is very good for health & highly nutritious. In South Indian cuisine, this koozh is offered to Goddess and make it as a festival celebration during aadi (summer) month & is distributed among everyone as prasadam. It tastes divine with a combo of onion, vadam, vathal, sundal, pickle, etc. Also thick koozh can be eaten as such as one would eat paddy rice. Lets how to prepare Ragi / Keppai koozh with this easy video recipe.

Ingredients

  • Ragi flour / kelvaragu maavu / finger millet flour - 2 to 3 cups
  • Yoghurt or curd
  • Sliced onions
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Add ragi flour in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add 3 cups of water and mix to smooth thin batter.
  3. Close it with lid and let it ferment overnight or minimum 6 to 7 hours.
  4. Slice onions and keep ready.
  5. Wash and cook rice till soft. Mash the rice and keep ready.
  6. Now heat 6 to 8 cups of water in a thick bottomed pan.
  7. Once the water starts boiling add salt and stir.
  8. Add the fermented ragi batter and stir.
  9. Keep the flame in medium and stir continously, so that no lumps are formed.
  10. If the batter consistency is thick, add some 2 more cups of water as shown in video and adjust the consistency.
  11. The batter consistency should be thin.
  12. Now keep stirring the batter in medium flame.
  13. Let the batter cook for 10 to 15 minutes with constant stirring.
  14. Take care the batter does not stick to the bottom. So constant stirring will be helpful.
  15. Now you can enjoy the inviting aroma of ragi koozh.
  16. Its time to add the cooked and mashed rice.
  17. Stir continously for another 5 minutes.
  18. Turn off flame and allow to cool completely.
  19. You can see the koozh has come to thicker consistency.
  20. Healthy & delicious summer special Ragi Koozh is ready.

To Serve:

  1. Take 5 to 6 ladles (or as required) of koozh and add to mixing bowl.
  2. Add yoghurt or curd.
  3. Add sliced onions and mix.
  4. Taste and adjust salt.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add water if required to adjust the consistency of the koozh.
  7. Pour in glass and garnish with curd, sliced nions and green chilli.
  8. Yummilicious homemade Ragi koozh is ready.
  9. We enjoyed koozh along with fried mormilagai.

"Tangdi" simply means chicken legs without thighs. It tastes absolutely irresistable with soft, moist & aromatic spicy flavor. Ingredients

  • Chicken leg pieces / drumsticks - 6 to 8
  • Cooking oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli pwd - 1 tsp
  • Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander pwd - 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Dried fenugreek pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Chat masala pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Yoghurt - 3 tbsp
  • Fresh lemon juice - few drops
  • Sliced coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Clean and wash the chicken pieces and make random slits on it.
  2. Drain water thoroughly.
  3. Add salt, turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, pepper pwd, coriander pwd, dried fenugreek pwd, chat masala pwd, oil & ginger garlic powder.
  4. Mix well. Coat all the chicken drumsticks with marinade.
  5. Allow to marinate for minimum 15 minutes.
  6. Now add yoghurt or curd, finely chopped coriander leaves and few drops of lemon juice.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Allow to marinate overnight or minimum 4 hours.
  9. Now grease the grill tray with oil.
  10. Arrange the chicken in the tray and apply the masala.
  11. Smear some oil on the surface.
  12. Preheat oven to 250 degree celcius for 5 minutes.
  13. Place the grill tray on the oven.
  14. Grill for 20 minutes or until the chicken is golden and cooked.
  15. Flip it once in a while and dazzle oil on the chicken.
  16. That's it...juicy & deliciuos restaurant style tangri kabab is ready.
  17. Sprinkle some chat masala on it.
  18. Serve hot with sliced onions and lemon wedges.
  19. Our favorite combo is with mint chutney.

Ingredients

  • Bread slices - 6 to 8
  • Milk - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - 3/4 cup
  • Cardamom pwd - a pinch
  • Saffron strands - a few
  • Chopped nuts to garnish

Method

  1. Take bread slices and trim the edges.
  2. Tear the bread to small pieces.
  3. Add few tsps of whole milk little by little to bread pieces.
  4. Knead to smooth dough.
  5. Take care the dough consistency to be smooth & soft. It shouldn't the watery or thick.
  6. Make small balls out of dough.
  7. Set it aside.
  8. Lets prepare sugar syrup.
  9. Add 1 cup of sugar to bowl.
  10. Add 3/4 cup of water and stir.
  11. Heat the bowl in low medium flame.
  12. Dissolve sugar by stirring.
  13. Add cardamom pwd and saffron strands.
  14. Boil the sugar water until it turns oily consistency.
  15. Sugar syrup is ready. Turn off flame.
  16. Heat oil in frypan.
  17. Once the oil is hot, add the jamun balls and deep fry in low flame.
  18. Once the jamun turns golden & crispy, as shown in video, drain and remove from oil.
  19. Add the jamuns to hot sugar syrup.
  20. Mix well.
  21. Let the jamuns soak in sugar syrup for minimum 1 hour.
  22. That's it soft & yummy, melt in mouth bread gulab jamun is ready.
  23. Serve warm or chilled. Garnish with chopped nuts.

Ingredients

  • Carrots sliced - 1 cup
  • Eggs - 2
  • Cooking oil - 1/2 cup
  • Maida or all purpose flour or wheat flour - 1 & 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Raisins - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped nuts to garnish

Method

  1. Wash, peel and slice carrots to fine pieces.
  2. Add carrots to blender.
  3. Break 2 eggs and add.
  4. Add cooking oil and blend together to smooth frothy paste.
  5. In a mixing bowl, take all purpose flour and seive to remove any lumps.
  6. Add powdered sugar, baking pwd, baking soda, salt and mix.
  7. Add carrot paste from the blender.
  8. Fold both the dry and wet ingredients gently to smooth batter.
  9. The batter consistency should be as its shown in video.
  10. Grease a cake tin with oil and place butter paper at the bottom.
  11. Pour the cake batter in the tin.
  12. Tap the tin to remove air bubbles if any.
  13. Sprinkle some raisins & chopped almond, walnuts and pista nuts on the top.
  14. Pre-heat oven at 180 degree celcius for 10 mins.
  15. Place the cake tin in the oven and bake the cake for 50 to 55 mins at 180 degree celcius.
  16. Once the cake is golden brown and done, remove from oven.
  17. Cool in wire rack for 10 mins.
  18. Deliciously rich, soft & moist homemade carrot cake is ready.
  19. Its optional, if you wish you can top up the cake with cream cheese icing.
  20. It makes a healthy snack or dessert for everyone especially kids.
  21. Serve warm or chilled.

Ingredients        

  • Vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, potato, peas, etc) sliced - 2 cups
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli pwd - 1 tsp
  • Onions - 2
  • Tomato - 2 big
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander pwd - 1 tsp
  • Pav bhaji masala pwd - 1 tsp
  • Fresh lemon juice - few drops
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Slice all veggies and keep ready.
  2. In pressure cooker, add 1 cup of water.
  3. To it add all sliced vegetables, a pinch of turmeric pwd, 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd and 1/2 tsp of salt.
  4. Cook the vegetables until soft.
  5. Mash the vegetables and set aside.
  6. In a pan, heat oil.
  7. Add cumin seeds and wait to splutter.
  8. Add sliced onions, salt and toss until transculent;
  9. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell disappears.
  10. Add mashed tomatoes and saute until oil separates.
  11. Add turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, garam masala pwd, cumin pwd and coriander pwd.
  12. Add sliced capsicum and mix well.
  13. Cook by covering the pan with lid for 5 mins in medium flame.
  14. Add cooked & mashed vegetables and combine.
  15. Add pav bhaji masala pwd, fresh coriander leaves, a dallop of butter and cook for another 3 to 4 mins.
  16. Squeeze few drops of fresh lemon juice and turn off flame.
  17. Flavorful & delicious homemade pav bhaji masala is ready.
  18. Serve hot with butter toasted pav buns.
  19. It makes a healthy & filling evening snack or dinner.

Tutti Frutti Cake 

Today I have for you a very soft, moist & rich cake recipe that is one of kids most favorite choice. This tutti frutti cake is one of the popular christmas cake recipe also. This recipe doesn't call for more ingredients and its an eggless version. This tastes sooper soft, spongy & flavorful with tutti frutti and nutty crunch in every bite. So here we go with the video recipe to prepare this soft & yummy cake at your home.

Ingredients

  • Maida flour (all purpose flour) - 1 cup
  • Tutti Frutti - 1/4 cup
  • Curd or yoghurt - 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
  • Whole milk - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 1/4 cup

Method

  1. Sieve maida flour and keep it aside.
  2. Grease the cake tin with oil and place butter paper on it.
  3. Take tutti frutti in a small bowl.
  4. Add maida flour and coat the tutti frutti with flour as shown in video.
  5. Set it aside.
  6. In a mixing bowl, add curd or yoghurt.
  7. Add baking soda, baking powder, powdered sugar and stir.
  8. Let it sit for 5 mins.
  9. You can see the mixture has bubbles on it.
  10. Now add vanilla essence, a pinch of salt, lemon juice, milk and oil.
  11. Stir completely.
  12. Now add the wet mixture to the maida flour and fold gently.
  13. The cake batter shouldn't be too thick or watery. (check video for consistency of the batter)
  14. Add the tutti frutti and mix.
  15. Add the batter to the cake tin and tap gently to remove air bubbles.
  16. Preheat oven at 180 degree celcius for 10 minutes.
  17. Bake the cake for 45 to 50 mins or until the cake done at 180 degree celcius.
  18. Once the cake is golden and done, remove from oven and allow to cool in wire rack for 10 mins.
  19. That's it..enjoy the rich aroma of tutti frutti cake all around you.
  20. Slice the cake to thin pieces.
  21. Delicious, rich n moist homemade tutti frutti cake is ready.
  22. Kids enjoy this cake more due to its yummy taste & vibrant color.

Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 g
  • Maida (all purpose flour) - 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice - few drops
  • Bread crumbs to roll
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

Method

  1. Wash and slice paneer to thin lengthy pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add maida flour, corn flour, salt, pepper pwd and red chilli pwd.
  3. Add few drops of fresh lemon juice.
  4. Add little water and mix to thick smooth paste.
  5. Add paneer slices to the paste and coat well.
  6. Allow to marinate for 30 mins to 1 hour.
  7. Heat oil in frypan.
  8. Take the marinated paneer, roll in bread crumbs and arrange in plate.
  9. Repeat the same for all the paneer as shown in video.
  10. Once the oil is hot, drop the paneer gently in batches.
  11. Dont overcrowd the oil.
  12. Deep fry in medium flame.
  13. Once the paneer turns crispy & brown, drain from oil in kitchen tissue.
  14. Yummilicious Finger paneer with crispy outside and chewy inside is ready.
  15. It makes an excellent healthy evening snack for kids.
  16. Serve hot with mint chutney, tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice.

Ingredients

  • Whole milk - 1 l
  • Koya / Mava or fresh cream - 1 cup
  • Saffron strands - a few
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Sliced badam & pistachio nuts - 1/4 cup

Method

  1. Soak few saffron strands in 2 tbsp of milk.
  2. Add thick whole milk to pan.
  3. Keep the flame in low and boil milk with constant stirring.
  4. Keep boiling until the milk reaches half its volume (approx. 30 mins) as shown in video.
  5. Now add koya (mava) or fresh cream or evaporated milk and stir the thick milk.
  6. Keep stirring for another 5 to 10 mins or until the milk reaches creamy consistency.
  7. Add sugar and stir well.
  8. Add cardamom pwd and saffron infused milk.
  9. Add finely sliced badam and pistachio nuts.
  10. Stir well and boil for 2 more mins.
  11. Turn off flame and allow to cool.
  12. In kulfi mould or in serving bowl or tray add few sliced nuts to the bottom.
  13. Fill the kulfi mould with kulfi mixture.
  14. Seal the kulfi mould and freeze it for minimum 6 to 7 hours or preferably overnight.
  15. Once the kulfi is well set, show the mould in running water, so that the kulfi unmoulds easily. Also you can remove by sliding a knife at the edges of the kulfi.
  16. Yummy & creamy delicious homemade malai kulfi is ready.

  • Green chilli - 1
  • Ginger - small piece
  • Mint leaves - 3 to 4
  • Coriander leaves - a few
  • Asafoetida pwd - a pinch
  • Curry leaves - 2 to 3
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. In a blender, add 1 cup of yoghurt or curd.
  2. To it add green chilli, ginger, mint leaves, coriander leaves.
  3. Add asafoetida pwd, salt, cumin and curry leaves.
  4. Add 2 to 3 cups of water and mix well.
  5. Close the lid and blend it until smooth.
  6. Pour in bowl.
  7. Heat ghee in small pan.
  8. Add cumin seeds and wait to splutter.
  9. Add few curry leaves and turn off flame.
  10. Pour it over buttermilk.
  11. Mix well.
  12. That's it ...serve flavorful delicious homemade masala chaas chilled.
  13. It makes an excellent health drink for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • Puffed rice / pori or murmura - 2 cups
  • Spicy Sev or chivda - 1 cup
  • Sliced onions - 1/4 cup
  • Sliced tomatoes - 1/4 cup
  • Green chilli - 1 or 2
  • Coriander leaves chopped - 1/4 cup
  • Grated carrot - 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Grated mango - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - few drops
  • Red chilli pwd - 1/4 tsp
  • Chat masala pwd - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chutney - 1 tbsp 
  • Sweet Chutney - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Take puffed rice in a mixing bowl.
  2. To it add sev or chivda.
  3. Add sliced onions, tomato, green chilli, coriander leaves, grated carrots, raw mango, lemon juice and mix. (also you can add boiled sliced potatoes)
  4. Add salt, red chilli pwd and chat masala pwd.
  5. Add green chutney & sweet chutney.
  6. Mix completely.
  7. Transfer to serving plate.
  8. Garnish with some more sliced onions, tomato, carrots, mango, coriander leaves, green and sweet chutney.
  9. Sprinkle more sev on top of it.
  10. Serve immemdiately to enjoy the crispness of the puffed rice along with the flavor of all Indian spices added.
  11. It makes a healthy evening snack along with hot coffee or tea.
