Today's post is rich, creamy n delicious mutton korma recipe with irresistable flavors. Soft & spongy idli, crispy dosa along with spicy mutton korma - this combo makes our sunday breakfast extra special. The succulent and savory mutton pieces in this rich korma makes for a delicious dish that everyone can enjoy. This mutton korma also goes very well with pulao and biryani. Ingredients

To Grind:

Grated coconut - 1/2 cup

Cashewnuts - 1/2 cup

Red chilly - 3

Small onions - 1/4 cup

To Cook Mutton:

Mutton - 1/2 kg

Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp

Red chilly pwd - 1/2 tsp

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Yoghurt - 1 tbsp

To Make Korma:

Small onions - 1/2 cup

Tomatoes sliced - 1/2 cup

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp

Oil - 2 tbsp

Cinnamon - 2

Bay leaf - 1

Cloves - 4

Star anise - 1

Marathi moggu - 1

Saunf pwd - 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves - 7 to 8

Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp

Red chilly pwd - 1 tsp

Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp

Coriander pwd - 2 tsp

Fresh lemon juice - few drops

Fresh coriander leaves

Salt to taste

Instructions

1.

Clean and wash mutton and drain water completely.

2.

Add mutton pieces to cooker.

3.

Add yoghurt, turmeric pwd, red chilly pwd and salt.

4.

Add 1/2 cup of water and cook mutton till soft.

5.

Heat oil in frypan.

6.

Add saunf pwd and curry leaves.

7.

Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, star anise and marathi moggu.

8.

Saute for a minute.

9.

Add chopped onions and fry till transculent.

10.

Add ginger garlic paste and toss.

11.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook till soft.

12.

Add turmeric pwd, red chilly pwd, coriander pwd and pepper pwd.

13.

Saute for few minutes.

14.

Add cooked mutton along with water.

15.

Mix and let it boil.

16.

Taste and adjust salt.

17.

Grind coconut, red chilly, onion and cashew with little water to smooth paste.

18.

Add this paste to mutton curry and mix.

19.

Add pepper pwd and chopped curry leaves.

20.

Let it cook for another 5 mins in medium flame.

21.

Turn off flame.

22.

Squeeze few drops of lemon juice.

23.

Add finely chopped fresh coriander leaves.

24.

Lipsmacking delicious rich & creamy chettinad style mutton korma is ready.

25.

Enjoy hot with roti, parotta, chapati or rice dishes.
