Today’s special post is the winning recipe of Schezwan style chicken lollypop. Kids & adults alike love this crunchy chicken lollypops coated with sweet and sour sauce. Chicken drummettes or whole chicken wings are needed to prepare this chicken lollypop. The chicken is marinated on spicy sauce and deep fried to crisp and then dipped on prepared schezwan sauce and spread well on it. Try this easy, make-at-home, hot and spicy chicken lollypop recipe and enjoy the scrumptious taste.

Ingredients

For Marination:

Chicken wings - 6 to 8

Soya sauce - 2 tbsp

Chilly garlic sauce - 1 tbsp

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp

Corn flour -1 tbsp

Salt to taste

To make Lollypop:

Eggs - 1

Red chilly pwd - 1 tsp

Corn flour - 2 tbsp

Oil - to deep fry

To make Gravy:

Oil - 1 tbsp

Cumin seeds - ½ tsp

Soya sauce - 1 tbsp

Vinegar - ½ tsp

Chilly sauce - 1 tsp

Tomato ketchup -2 tbsp

Green chilly - 1

Fresh coriander leaves

Salt to taste

Instructions

To make Lollypop:

Wash and clean the chicken wings thoroughly

Cut the wings into two

Chop the end bone and pull the flesh up along with the skin

5.

Now remove the thin bone attached to it

6.

Mould the flesh into a lollypop

Prepare a marinade with soya sauce, chilly garlic sauce, salt, ginger garlic paste and corn flour

Add the chicken lollypop to the marinade, coat it completely

Let it rest for overnight or preferably for 2 hours

In a bowl, beat the egg

Add red chilly pwd, salt and corn flour

Mix it well

Make a smooth batter

Heat oil in a frypan

Roll the lollypop in the batter and drop carefully in the hot oil

Turn the flame to medium hot

Deep fry the chicken lollypops until they turn crispy and golden brown

Take care the chicken to be cooked completely inside also and adjust the flame accordingly

Drain the chicken lollypop in kitchen towel

To make Gravy:

To prepare the sauce, heat 1 tbsp of oil in a small frying pan

Add cumin seeds and ginger garlic paste

Saute for a minute

Add soya sauce, vinegar, chilly sauce, tomato ketchup, salt, green chilly and finely chopped coriander leaves

Add little water and stir in low flame for 2 mins

Toss the chicken lollypop in the sauce

Turn off the flame

Transfer the chicken lollypop along with sauce to serving plate
