Here comes the quick delicious hearty one pot mutton biryani recipe that is easy to prepare in a short time. This is a fail proof recipe and tastes aunthetic and flavorful. Ingredients

To Marinate:

Mutton - ½ kg

Turmeric pwd - ¼ tsp

Red chilly pwd - ½ tsp

Garam masala pwd - ½ tsp

Yoghurt - 2 to 3 tbsp

Salt to taste

To make Biryani

Basmati rice - 2 cups

Oil - 2 tbsp

Cumin seeds - ½ tsp

Saunf - ½ tsp

Bay leaf - 1

Cinnamon - 1

Cardamom - 1

Onion - 2 big

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp

Green chilly - 2

Chopped mint & coriander leaves - handful

Chopped tomato - 1 cup

Red chilly pwd - ½ tsp

Biryani masala pwd - ½ tsp

Salt to taste

Instructions

1.

Clean and wash the mutton pieces thoroughly.

2.

In a mixing bowl, prepare the marinade with turmeric pwd, red chilly pwd, garam masala pwd, salt and yoghurt.

3.

Add the mutton pieces, mix well and allow to marinate for 2 hours.

4.

Wash and soak basmati water in water for 10 mins.

5.

Drain the water and set the rice aside.

6.

Heat oil in a pressure pan.

7.

Add cumin seeds, saunf, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom and allow to splutter.

8.

Add sliced onions and saute till light brown.

9.

Add ginger garlic paste and sliced green chilly.

10.

Saute for 2 mins.

11.

Add chopped mint and coriander leaves.

12.

Stir well.

13.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook till it mashed.

14.

Now add the marinated mutton pieces, ½ tsp red chilly pwd and mix well.

15.

Add 1 cup of water and stir.

16.

Close the lid and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.

17.

Once done, turn off the the flame.

18.

Wait until the pressure goes off.

19.

Mix all the ingredients.

Now again turn on the flame.

21.

Add 1 cup of water enough to cook the basmati rice.

22.

Add the soaked & drained basmati rice.

23.

Add biryani masala pwd.

24.

Mix gently.

25.

Taste and adjust salt and seasonings.

26.

Close the lid and pressure cook for 1 whistle.

27.

Simmer the flame for 5 mins.

28.

That’s it ….flavorful and lipsmacking tasty mutton biryani is ready.
